What Pupppies Need

The anticipation of bringing home your Sweet Home Labradoodle puppy can be exciting and even a bit overwhelming when it comes to choosing the right supplies and products. Here are some of my favorite things to have ready and in place when you bring home your Sweet Home Labradoodle puppy. Keeping puppy happy and healthy is important. This list of recommended puppy products will help make the transition from my Sweet Home to your Sweet Home seamless!

• EXERCISE PEN: Great for indoors and outdoors. A great place to keep your pup safe and secure. IRIS 4 Panel Pet Pen. Or upgrade to the IRIS 8 Panel Pet Pen space. There is also the IRIS 2 Panel Add On if needed.
• CRATE: Midwest Life Stages Folding Metal Dog Crate... I highly recommend crate training during the first year of puppy-hood. It becomes a calming place for pup to retreat to and have his own space. This crate comes with a divider which is very useful when potty training your puppy. The use of the divider limits the pup's ability to relieve themselves when resting in crate. Puppy understands quickly not to soil where they sleep. The convenient 2 door system allows more versatility when placing it in a room.
• POOP SCOOP: Flex Rake Need I say more...
• NATURES MIRACLE: Nature's Miracle Stain and Odor Remover is a bio-enzymatic formula guaranteed to eliminate stains and odors caused by puppy and dog urine and fece accidents.
• PET BEDS: Indoor dog pillows are great. I also like the Coolaroo and Kuranda. These elevated bedding solutions with breathable nylon material help keep them clean, cool, off the ground, and are gentle on their pressure points. They are portable and user friendly. I have these beds indoors and outdoors.
• GROOMING: It's important to have puppy get used to regular grooming at home. It will make the trip to the groomer every 4-6 weeks more comfortable and pleasurable. These are my basic grooming tools. The Slicker Brush is one of the most useful and versatile grooming tools. The Safari Grooming Comb and the Safari De-Matting Comb are a must have. It's important to have your groomer show you the proper use of a De-Matting Comb before using it. I encourage you to watch the You Tube Video, ALAA How to Properly Groom A Labradoodle.
• TOYS: Puppies need toys!! Start with a variety of different ones and see which ones they prefer. It's also a good idea to trade them out periodically, giving puppy some change, as no to get bored. Here are some suggestions:

• TRAINING: Puppies require an investment of time and the reward is a priceless FUR-EVER companion! I recommend having a puppy training plan in place before your puppy comes home, whether it be in your home or with a professional trainer. Aly's Puppy Bootcamp is my recommended puppy trainer.
